brief update
Apr. 1st, 2009 10:55 pmam v. tired so update will be abbreviated, i guess.
doc says i'm all better and may smoke as much as i want, whenever i want. he even said i could start smoking more than i smoked *before* i got the pneumonia.
ok. that's not exactly what he said. but my continued stuff-that's-wrong-with-me seems to be expected and part of the process. my lungs are sounding better. when i asked if the x-ray report said what side the pneumonia was on, he called the imaging place and got the answers. (left, lingula. stuff showed up on the right side as well, but not bad enough to be called pneumonia.)
i did ok on the peak flow meter, so i get to reduce the symbicort (inhaler i do not like) to one puff 2x a day for the next week. as long as i don't get worse. i'm to use the albuterol inhaler as needed, but if i need it a bunch i should call him. i can d/c the mucinex yay. at the end of april, i should go get a follow-up x-ray. in the middle of may, i should go see him. if i am appropriately recovering from the pneumonia, we will discuss exploring the possibility of seasonal asthma.
he put forth a possible theory that made me feel smart, because it was a theory i had. (if i have seasonal asthma and it was active when i got sick/caught the flu, that could make it likely to go straight to pneumonia.) hey, my brain has been "bzuh" lately, so i need to take "smart" feelings where i can. :P

i am exhausted and considering calling out again tomorrow. i am apparently getting better, but i am also probably overdoing it. however, attendance at work has been crazy lately, and one of my team members was out today. i really am not yet sure what i will do.

nymsa and
findlac came over and helped me move the Couch of Immobilisation outside for the garbage. *sniff* then there was the putting together of the futon. there was much cat humour.

i should go to bed.
