yes, i know you said that a month ago...
Jul. 2nd, 2009 08:57 pmok. i have been commentspamming for comments on my posts. (unless i couldn't think of anything to say.) soon i will try to get back to repiles to people who replied to me replying to their posts.
the tale and explanation of how behind i've been and why is a little idiosyncratic, and i've decided (yet again) that instead of journalling it, i'm going to go outside to see my town's fireworks. i don't know why they're having them two days early. and this is assuming they haven't been cancelled due to monsoons.
eta: omg it's really soup out there. i went outside for ten seconds and got a lentil in my eye.

the church lady
Jul. 2nd, 2009 11:04 pmwhen the fireworks started, george jumped, and zelda fell over. i made sure they were okay, put on some music and turned the air conditioner back on, and went outside. the view from my street is obscured by a large tree, so i walked to the next corner, and had a good view. then a woman came out of the parsonage at the church on the corner, and i was stuck with her until they were over. well, except for the four minutes when she went inside to try to convince her husband to come out (she failed).
the church lady seemed to think "ooh" and "aaahhh" were more than just exclamations, that they were comments which advanced conversation and deserved replies.
it was an odd twenty minutes.
