an odd hodge-podge of a day

today started with finding out we had a delayed opening. yay! then it involved police. not so yay. :( then work was going ok. yay. then i started choking. not so yay. so i went out into the cold air, which helped. yay! then i saw what was most likely a cooper's hawk. super yay! then i saw a red-tailed hawk. yay. then i went back into work. not so yay. then i came home and watched four and a half episodes of criminal minds. yay.

i'm going to wrap and head to bed very soon. i'm having breakfast with f. tomorrow. and i'm knackered.

oh! i almost forgot about the dog. a coworker recently bought her son a teacup chihuahua. this seems unnecessary. however, the puppy did come to visit us today, and she's adorable. she's still very tiny and doesn't weigh much more than a pound. i held her, and she was fine with that. even licked my face. she visited a few of the classrooms, and one of the kids pointed at her and said, "it shakes." he was right. she does.
