and another thing...

today i had my fourth sighting in a row[1] of common ravens. this is awesome.

as is this icon.

[1] been to this location four times in five days and had ravens each time. also had bald eagles 2 out of 4 days.

and in actual other news...

i have gotten too much sun in the past week. i'm all itchy. i bought sunscreen to try in the first time since forever, because i seem to be allergic to some component of most sunscreens, and would always break out horribly in a sandpapery rash that would last for weeks and weeks and weeks. but if i'm going to get this much sun, i need something, right? and surely in the past ten years someone has invented one i'm not allergic to.

unfortunately, i keep leaving the house without putting it on because i keep forgetting.

the cold front is coming! the cold front is coming! this pleases me. the next several days should have highs only in the 60s, which will be most welcome.

i'm going to bed early tonight. i've been short on sleep, because i've gotten up tres early each day to go out birding. we'll see what the weather conditions are like in the morning, unless other plans crop up.

today i got to my destination and sat down and ate my breakfast. later, i sat down with the intention of killing a few minutes with my rubik's cube, only to discover i had left it home!!!!!!

miraculously, the world did not end.

my new glasses cover much more of my face than my old ones did. consequently, my face has the stupidest tan ever. :P
