i finally dragged myself away from the computer today and went out to look at living things.







i was taking photos of a swan, and heard someone behind me a little ways, coughing, or clearing their throat or something. i kept looking back, but couldn't find them. and then all of a sudden swan number two came swimming over, "clearing his throat", and made for a more cooperative subject. swans preening are pretty funny.





this mockingbird was also very cooperative.


i eked out 30 species today. and, hallelujah, i came home and checked the weather and saw birds on the radar. finally. birding tomorrow.
