she's not the one for me
Mar. 5th, 2010 12:06 am(with thanks to
nymsa, since most of this was composed while msging w/ her.)
got home by about 11:15, which was the most awesome thing that could have happened. david ford was fantastic, as always. his shows always feel too short to me, because i really could watch him for hours. or just listen to him banter and ramble. but it was a good-length set, as his shows go... about 75 minutes, including an encore. no complaints from me, even though a short time before his set, i was texting marc about how i was "the moodiest moodster that ever mooded."
so i leave the venue at like 9:45 (hooray! possibility of being home before midnight omg!) and go to the 9th street path station. i get to the path station, and i ignore the teenager who tells me his friend wants to talk to me because he finds me attractive, and shake my head when i hear him tell the next woman the same thing.
i get to the platform and find an end seat on a bench. i take out the new rubik's cube and i work on it.
two and a half minutes later, it is solved.
i hear a strange sound.
i look up, confused.
on the next bench is a group of girls, all applauding.
"we were watching you!"
"it was awesome!!"
i laughed, they laughed. i said, "being obsessive pays off."
it was very funny.
also, did i mention that david ford was fantastic? because he was fantastic. i get to see him again on saturday. yay!
