guestblogging from the underground

Julie hit her head on her desk awhile ago. She can talk fine, it's just that she's punchier than normal, and I've been asked to fill in some temporary gaps in her lucidity.
We're splicing together a short film we made for my students. It took us an hour to agree on three songs that neither of us like as background music. Jules probably let a couple things slide, since her head hurts so much. I maybe have another few hours of existing on a near-level intellectual playing field with her. I'm taking advantage of that.
She just asked me if I'd ever order chinese food from a place called "Bergen Dragon". I lied and said, "never." I'd order chinese food from anywhere, at any time. I won't suggest that she might have a concussion. I won't.
Julie found her toothpaste. It has Dora on it.
She just said "fuck you," to something inhabiting her entertainment center.
Listening to Julie organize her things is just as frenetic as watching her. Maybe more.
I'm never making another video for any of my students, ever again.

May. 6th, 2010 11:59 pmmy head is sore, but i am fine. don't listen to marc.
the giant, final scene-meld from the video is... scenemelding. it's going to take at least an hour so it will have to happen while i am in bed. so marc has gone. in the morning i have to convert it to a smaller video.
i'm hungry. i should have eaten more of the ravioli while i had a chance. why is there never a fork dangling from a chain when you really need one?
