what happens when the post just stops?

so i have been working on and off all day on a post. it was originally a reply to a comment, but it was just too long. i decided to make it a post, but then as i got toward the end i realised it was partially about a show i wasn't at, and two of my friends were. so i've tabled it until after they post their recollections of the show. so this is a placeholder for some thoughts on live versions of what happens when the heart just stops.

in other news, winter is here and i don't like it.

i dressed in lots of layers to go out for my birding walk - (tshirt, thermal shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, scarf, hat, fingerless gloves, pants, sweatpants, socks, shoes) - and i'm still in two layers now, because i never totally warmed up when i got home. they're saying maybe snow this week, albeit just showers.

but there are 3 canvasbacks back, so i guess that's a bright side. sort of.

oh noes!

my brain is short-circuiting this evening. i thought it was from hunger, but i've eaten so i guess not. but i've got multiple obsessions going on... following three or ten different frames threads, editing a bird list for audubon for the walk i was on today, can't string a sentence together... and then nymsa mentions dexter.

that's it. i'm broken.

i have images of dexter and birds with frames music on the background, and...

and she kindly asked brian to back off. <facepalm>

i have lost the capacity to type, think sensibly, and focus on anything, but i am obsessively focusing on everything. it must be time for bed soon.

must go out for a cigarette and see if i can retrieve sense.
