overcast saturday

made sure to go out birding today even though it was chilly, because the winds were calm and they won't be tomorrow. still no rough-legged hawk - unless that suspicious bird by the train tracks that got out of my sight too quickly was one, after all. i suspect it was, but i cannot prove it.

did a lot of walking. toward the end, a breeze started to pick up, and i had to put my hat back on and crack open some hand warmers.

tonight i accidentally melted the cap to a jar of honey. oops.

i think tomorrow might be too breezy to bother going out. and there's possibly a storm coming mid-week that will bring "significant to very significant snow". pfeh.
