so i was considering taking myself to see district 9 today, and i decided to do it. i grabbed a shower, got ready, and out the door i went. the walk is about two miles. about a mile and a half in, i looked down at the leg that was annoying me, and saw nice bright red splotches. and they're warm. oh, yay. i just finished antibiotics a week and a half ago. i don't fancy potentially needing them again. :P (for the record, this isn't the leg i had cellulitis in at camp.)
anyways... i went to the film, and enjoyed it. the aliens were designed by a weta person, even if weta didn't carry out the production. one advantage of going to the movies at 11 in the morning is that your ticket, popcorn, and soda totals $14.50. that's not bad. afterwards, i moseyed on over to barnes and noble, where i bought practically nothing. then i stopped for lunch at the cafe (tall chai frappucino, spinach and artichoke quiche, and dan savage on the ipod.)
at this point i was trying to decide whether to head home or dilly dally. i opted to cross the highway and visit the craft store, which i hadn't done for quite some time. i picked up a small amount of beads and a magazine, and then made my way to the bus stop. i caught the bus, and hobbled home. dinner and project runway australia, then an episode of house.
i'm pretty wiped, and i'm going to hit bed very soon even though it's early. migration is on tonight, and there may be birds to see in the morning. i'm going to try and go looking.
